Knaresborough Lions Club's annual beer festival kicks off at 5pm tonight (Friday 16th August) at Knaresborough House. Running until 3pm on Sunday 18th, a great range of drinks are available including over 20 beers, 7 ciders, lager, Aperol Spritz, Prosecco, wine and non-alcoholic options. Food will also be on offer in the form of a barbecue, with hotdogs, burgers and mushroom & halloumi burgers.
It's free to get in and a great drinks package is available. £14 will buy you a souvenir polycarbonate glass plus 6 tokens worth 3 pints/6 half pints. Or individual tokens can be bought for £2 each, each covering a half pint.
Music will be on each evening and the Silver Band will make an appearance on Sunday lunchtime. However, the main reason for hosting the event is to pay for Picnic in the Park on Saturday afternoon behind Knaresborough House. The weather looks fine so come along for a drink and a dance.
Finally, we'd like to thank all our generous drinks sponsors, Ian Fozard of Rooster's for helping source the beer and all the volunteers working at the event. We couldn't do it without you :)
